Collagen tripeptide (CTP) is the smallest structural unit of collagen prepared from fish scale and skin by using advanced bioengineering technology. It is a tripeptide containing glycine, proline (or hydroxyproline) plus one other amino acid. collagen tripeptide is actually the use of advanced bioengineering technology to intercept the small molecular structure of large collagen molecules that are useful for skin. Its structure can be simply expressed as gly-x-y. The average molecular weight of collagen tripeptide is 280 Dalton. Because the molecular weight of collagen tripeptide is very small, it can be fully absorbed by human body.
